Suburban Outfitters

Is it obvious that we took these pictures in a housing development? Get the title?... Anyway today Tati and I (and my sister Cami) treked through the woods behind the new development near our houses. We were going for a somewhat casual look and I had my camera because not only does it take great pictures but it looks very cool:). When we walked past the three story- identical houses, we found parts of the original estate that occupied the 30 acres of fields and trees. (As I write this Tati is having a laugh attack for no apparernt reason...) We found the remains of a pool and a pet graveyard and a springhouse. The seting was so beautiful and we got a bit carried away with the amount of pictures we took but I hope you like them all.

(I really have to say i am in love with my shoes -Tati)

I am wearing a jacket I found in my attic, a tee- shirt and jeans from dELiAs and my new shoes from Urban, a bracelet that was a gift and there is a LONG story behind the necalace. (Shortened- I won it at the NBC 10 news station...) Tati wore an H&M Shirt, high-wasted shorts from Nordstom rack and shoes from Urban (she intends to return them after this shoot.) and a cardigan from a J. Crew sale. We really hope you enjoyed:D

Post Post:
The story of the necklace
By Sofia
As a young sprout, I went to the NBC 10 news station with my class on a field trip at the end of my eighth grade year. It was a few days before the movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic" cam out. As soon as we walked into the building, past the metal detectors a woman asked if there were any volunteers for a special surprise. Naturally, since volunteering for mystery tasks is my favorite, my hand shot into the air and I held it straight up and looked right at the woman. "You," She pointed at Brinana, "and...you" (I am the second you if you hadn't figured that out by now) Then the tech people gave us earpieces and little microphones and took us outside to two huge blocks of ice with mall gift card inside. Apparently we were going to be doing a promotional thingy where we had to get the card out of the ice (like the woman in the movie does with her credit card.) Oh yeah, and we were armed with a hairdryer and a shoe. An hour later (after being on national television as the little box in the corner!!) they gave us very nice necklaces as prizes (and the mall gift cards)There you have it:) hope it wasn't too ranty.
P.s. I later saw the same necklace in Nordstrom and it was 150 dollars!!!Yay for free stuff!

Simple but Bold

It was too cold and rainy to do an outdoor shoot today so Tati and I took things inside. I actually think this outfit suits the indoors well. It reminds me of some fancy cocktail party from twenty years ago. The dress, shoes, and earings actually belong to Tati's other friend Sofia and I just LOVE them!:) We agreed about how simple the dress was but the simplicity is what makes it perfect. We liked how the big earrings and shoes complement it nicely. Enjoy:)
oh! And don't forget to check out the post just before this, Suburban Outfitters. I think Tati and I took some beautiful pictures:)

p.s. If my lips seem pursed in some of the pictures, its probably because the shoes were about two sizes to small and standing in heels is hard enough as it is! Oh well...

Finds from the Past

Hello everyone!
Today was a beautiful, warm day, which could not be taken for granted. All last week was gray and rainy, and when I (Tati) woke up today I was so happy to finally see the sun. Anyway today I biked over to Sofi's house and we went up to her attic to find some vintage things of her moms. We ended up finding two printed skirts and made them more modern for fashion today. Sofi and I both made our skirts into bohemian dress with small accent accessories. I added a gemed belt while sofi added a rope belt and a charming necklace. Enjoy!- Tati
I (sofi)was so happy the way these photos came out! In my outfit, the skirt and boots were from my attic, the nekalace- and great shop on south street called eyes galery and and belt... Good ole' tjmaxx. Tati had on another skirt from the atic that she wore as a cardigan, a hand-me- down dress I had and a belt from a thrift store. I was a more classic "hippie" while Tati had modernized herself a bit. Hope you like the pictures! ~Sofi

These two pictures below are the in the making pictures. Just some little funny bloopers we wanted to share with you. Let's just say walking down dirt slopes in wedges is not all to easy.
I hope you liked all of the pictures from today!

Alice in Wonderland

This weekend Sofi and I (Tati) invited our guest star Camille to be in our Alice and Wonderland photoshoot. We were inspired by the Alice and Wonderland spread in Vogue Magazine and decided to recreate it with our own little twist. Camille was the Mad Hatter, Sofi was Alice, and I (Tati) was the queen of hearts.

After we came up with these fabulous costumes we didn't know where we could take the pictures since the sun was setting on us (again). Then when we walked outside, I (Sofia this time) looked up at the weather vane on Tati's roof and said: "up there!"
Cami and Tati gave each other skeptical looks but they let me climb up there anyway. It was worth it I think!
Hope you all enjoy!

Thanks for looking! Feel free to comment and thank you so much for all your support!

Sunsets and Lace

Today I (Tati) was behind the camera taking some shots of Sofi. We decided to go back into the woods and take some texture shots and experiment with lighting. I love how these came out and so did Sofi. I hope you like them too! Enjoy!

She is wearing a hand-me-down skirt (as a dress) that's from Free People (free), the scarf is the same one from the last shoot from American Eagle (it was well worth the $4.95 price tag!), the necklace was her Grandmother's (inheritance). And the doll was from her Great- Aunt (gift). The idea that she came up with at 11:oo at night and had to jump out of bed to try out : priceless.

Below is a picture I liked that Sofi took of me while we were shooting. I thought the angling was kinda cool!

I hope you all enjoyed!
